Pixar’s Toy Story series will forever remain in our memories as the definition of a feel-good movie. However, it looks like it is about to change with this recent re-imagined trailer.
Toy Story – a collaboration of Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studio – was released in 1995. Directed by John Lasseter, the film eventually became a global phenomenon and is considered one of the greatest films of all time.
The film follows the adventures of a group of anthropomorphic toys led by a pull-string cowboy doll Woody, voiced by Tom Hanks, and an astronaut action figure Buzz Lightyear, voiced by Tim Allen.
To be fair, the movie’s concept was somewhat creepy to begin with. Imagine your toys coming alive when you go to sleep. Can this thought be any less traumatizing than envisioning murderous killer doll Chucky lurking about in your closet?
It seems like YouTube movie-man Bobby Burns is on a hell bent mission to destroy our fond memories of universally revered animated flicks. This is his second one in a seemingly traumatizing, but exceptionally well-conceived, series of movie trailers.
His earlier trailer of Frozen as a horror film was a smashing hit on YouTube with seven million hits and counting.
With this new trailer, Burns has recreated the magic once again. Although, our only contention is, why didn’t we get to see more of Sid and his set of mutant toys? They sure did scare the life out of us in the original version.
