Chinese Student’s Passive-Aggressive Response To His Smoker Roommates

One Chinese university student in Nanning was so fed up with his roommates’ smoking that he crafted a bespoke helmet to give him access to much-needed fresh air.

A creative Weibo user known as Shandianzhililiang posted these pictures of his smoke-evading air funnel to a perplexed internet audience who were likely amused at his creativity, but possibly wary of his passive-aggressive statement.

Constructed of a cardboard box, several garbage bags and a small fan clipped to the entryway window, the not-so-subtle invention transmits outside air directly to the student’s face while he sits at his computer desk.

Yes, he has a box on his head.

To be fair, it’s unclear if he did confront his roommates about their incessant smoking indoors and they refused to oblige his request to stop, or if he just wanted to make his point that he hates second-hand smoke in a very dramatic way.

He even uploaded a stick-figure diagram which explains the function of his allegedly smoke-free contraption.

Just how efficient the invention is at keeping out smoke from his air passages is unknown, but it’s pretty funny.
