Nippon Airlines was just trying to have fun with the idea of cultural difference between East and West -- but some say it stepped over the line.

An ad for Japanese airline Nippon has drawn criticism for allegedly trafficking in racist imagery -- but against a group not normally perceived as being the victims of bigotry. The ad, for the airline's new expanded service, has since been pulled, but the controversy lingers. Check it out in the video above and then decide -- did the airline overstep the bounds of good taste or are critics just being too thin-skinned?
