In the following video, Andrew Walker of the Carlton Football Club of Australia makes an amazing catch in which he jumps over another player’s shoulders and pushes himself up on his knees while flying atop the defender. Ok, it’s a little hard to explain, but we’ll just put it this way: A move like this would never be legal in the NFL.
Alright, we’re sure everyone is happy that NFL players and owners finally made a deal to end the lockout so we’ll have an American football season this year. The following video, however, proves that there’s good football to be had all over the globe in case a lockout ever holds out the NFL for real. Who would have thought Australian football would be the catalyst?
The catch in this video would never be legal in the NFL, as Australian player Andrew Walker jumps over another player’s shoulders, lifts himself up on his knees (still on the player’s shoulders) and makes an amazing grab at least five to six feet in the air for his Carlton Football Club in Australia.
We had to watch the video a few times to really appreciate and comprehend what happened, and we still can’t quite explain it, so we recommend you stop reading and start watching.
