A Michigan man named Jason Asseslin has had recent footage he took of the bright orange sky and clouds outside his house go viral. The sky Asselin filmed isn’t like the one most are accustomed too. Instead, due to a rare cloud formation called mammatus clouds, or “bubble cups” forming in northern Michigan, the entire sky took on a bright-orange hue that you must see to believe.
At some angles, the clouds look fantastical and dreamlike, but at others they appear dark and menacing. Asselin notes on his Youtube page that he was inside his home when the once-blue sky suddenly took on a yellow color. By the time Asselin could get out his camera to film the sky, the sky color had shifted to multiple shades of orange.
Asselin was just as mystified by the orange sky as the video’s hundred-thousand-plus viewers. Numerous amateur meteorologists have taken to the video’s comments to try and explain the freaky orange sky. Like most things in weather, the orange sky was caused by pressure fronts, and the fact that nature can and will do whatever the hell it wants.
Also in the comments in a flame war started by a man who claims the orange sky is a result of chemtrails. If I were on the illuminati chemtrial action board – and as far as you know, I’m not – I would have discouraged any chemtrail activity that sometimes turned the entire sky orange. But what do I know? I’m just a sheep like all the others.
Any brainiacs out there have info on what would make an entire sky turn orange? Let us know.
