Followers frantically asked Armin Schmieder if he was OK, begging him for a response, but unfortunately it was too late.

Armin Schmieder, an experienced skydiver and wingsuit jumper, took to Facebook live to show off his jump at the summit of Kandersteg in the Swiss alps. The 28-year-old, who had a GoPro camera fixed on his head, can be heard telling people, “Today you fly with me.”

Unfortunately, the chilling video shows him jump to his death.

The Italian man can be seen preparing for the jump, putting his phone in his pocket and unfurling the wings on his suit. After he jumped, everything remained OK for a few seconds where he waved into the camera and said something, but then all of a sudden the video goes dark.

Internet users watching the video figured something wasn’t right, and they took to social media begging Schmieder for a sign that he was alive. When they received no answer, police arrived at the scene to look into what had happened.

They were shocked to find out that Schmieder had been killed in an accident. The cause behind his death remains unknown so far.

This isn’t the first time something like this has happened with adventure seekers. Just recently, news of a 59-year-old woman went viral when she died after falling from a zip lining platform. Apparently, she had detached herself from the safety line and failed to follow instructions given during a 30-minute training course.

Unfortunately, she died while checking an item off her bucket list.

Adventure sports surely can be a lot of fun if safety precautions are taken and rules are followed. However, even the slightest mistake can lead to a disastrous end as seen in this case.
