Do you ever imagine what your favorite presidential candidate would look like in a clown costume? Don’t worry if you haven’t, as it will not make much of a difference.

Presidential Candidates Clowns

A talented California artist, Will Espada, has transformed next year’s presidential election hopefuls into their supposed comic doppelgangers.

“One of a series celebrating political events and people using a fave subject matter, circus clowns,” Espada wrote oInstagram about his series.

Espada is is apparently so fascinated by some of these candidates that he has done not one but multiple clown impressions of them.

The similarity really is uncanny. Watch how all these colorful faces have a potential to brighten any day at the White House. Fair warning though: some posts are a little creepy, so proceed with caution.

Without a doubt, Bernie Sanders gets the award for saddest clown, while Donald Trump is the fun, happy-go-lucky clown who just wants someone to pull his finger.

Espada runs his studio out of Los Angeles, where his business focuses primarily on “fine art digital archival pigment printing process using high quality color profiled imaging.”

So still, why so serious?
