It’s difficult to get over this video of a baby koala in a Taipei Zoo peeking out of its mom’s pouch. According to National Geographic a baby koala lives in the mother pouch for around six to eight months after its birth. Once he or she starts to explore their surrounding they are then attached to the belly or back of their mother.
Despite the fact that koalas are of least concern when it comes to threatened species, there are reports that suggest a fall in their population due to loss of habitat.
But as far as this little koala is concerned he or she will still be spending some more time to enjoy the warmth of its mother’s pouch.
