"Projection Napping" displays giant sleepers surrounded with the noise of the sleepless city.

Brooklyn-based artist collective “Dawn of Man” is projecting images of sleeping people on buildings all over New York as part of its latest initiative – “Projection Napping.”

The projections are carefully designed in contrast with the specific buildings’ size and structure.

"Projection Napping features a series of large-scale, site-specific video projections, juxtaposing the calm, meditative state of napping against the kinetic, high energy noise of the sleepless city," said Max Nova, an artist from Dawn of Man. "An unsuspecting audience usually emerges at each location, often sparked with intrigue, sometimes enlightenment, and always a whole lot of questions."
