A Man Is Offering A Free World Trip To Anyone Named “Elizabeth Gallagher"

Attention all the Elizabeth Gallaghers living in Canada. This one’s for you.

Jordan Axani from Canada wants a travel companion to fly around the world. The trip would be free and he is not looking for anything in return.

However, Axani has some conditions that you must meet in order to assume a free ticket.

The 28-year-old man from Toronto explained his offer in a lengthy thread posted on Reddit:

“In March I booked a fairly wicked trip around the world for this Christmas for my ex and I. While our relationship has come to a close, I am still planning on going on the trip and she is not (naturally). And because I hate the idea of a ticket around the world going to waste, I am looking for a Canadian named Elizabeth Gallagher who could use the ticket.”

He also made it very clear that a “name change on a ticket is damn near impossible” so this was the only idea he could come up with.

The couple had booked an adventurous Christmastime vacation: New York City to Milan to Prague to Paris to Bangkok to New Delhi and back to Toronto.

The value of the whole package is around $6,000, according to the man, though he mentioned he bought them during a sale and paid a few thousand less.

For anyone wondering if this is just another internet gimmick to get a date, Axani says he is no such intentions:

“I am not looking for anything in return, I am not looking for companionship, romance, drugs, a trade, or to take selfies with you in front the Christmas Market in Prague. If you feel compelled to toss me a couple hundred bucks, great. Really the only thing I ask for is that you enjoy this trip and that it bring you happiness.”

As odd as this story may sound to some, offering such trips on Reddit is not uncommon.

In September, an Australian woman also turned to the site in hopes of finding a travel partner named Andrew Grant – her ex’s name. She and her then-boyfriend had booked a trip across Europe. But after the couple split, Lassus was left with a fully booked trip, but no one to travel with.
