Justin Trudeau might be the superhero the world has been waiting for and his new act of kindness just goes to prove it.

Canadian Prime Minster Justin Trudeau has gained immense popularity since he was elected in October. And after he personally went to the Toronto Pearson International airport to welcome Syrian refugees with hugs and warm clothes, he won hearts all over the world.

More recently, he invited 20 patients from the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario to join him for a private advance screening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The children, all between the ages of 8 and 17, received invitations for the screening from the prime minister’s office itself.  They met up with Trudeau at the Ciniplex Cinemas Lansdowne and VIP movie theater in Ottawa.

Len Hanes, director of communication at the CHEO Foundation, speaking to CBC News said: "We were quite excited to get the call. Obviously we're happy he thought of the kids at CHEO and it was a wonderful thing for him to do."

Trudeau is known as a huge Star Wars fan, as images released from the Canadian Press showed him dressed up as Han Solo, while his wife Sophie Grégoire-Trudeau appeared as Princess Leia, last Halloween.

Interestingly, on the night of the Canadian elections, cameras filming Trudeau in his house with family, showed his sons enthusiastically playing with lightsabers, proving the PM is not alone in his love for Star Wars.

At a town hall-style event organized by Maclean's magazine, Trudeau openly expressed his love of sci-fi. "For me, sci-fi has always been so important to me because it allows you to test the limits of human experience and understanding in completely unbelievable circumstances, and you get to learn more things about humanity this way sometimes.”

Here’s a picture of Trudeau showing his love for the Star Wars series.
