Cards Against Humanity Buys Land On Border To Block Trump’s Wall

Cards Against Humanity is attempting to foil President Donald Trump's border wall construction by buying acres of land so he can't build on it.

Cards Against Humanity, the company behind the popular “party game for horrible people,” executed a brilliant stunt to impede President Donald Trump’s border wall plan.

The Chicago-based company bought land on the United States-Mexico border to block Trump from building there. They announced on their website that as part of a holiday promotion, customers could contribute to the project with $15 and receive surprise gift packages in return, CNN reports.

After launching the promotion on Tuesday, they were sold out by Wednesday morning.

"Donald Trump is a preposterous golem who is afraid of Mexicans," said Cards Against Humanity on its website. "He is so afraid that he wants to build a twenty-billion dollar wall that everyone knows will accomplish nothing. So we've purchased a plot of vacant land on the border and retained a law firm specializing in eminent domain to make it as time-consuming and expensive as possible for the wall to get built."

Those who contributed to the cause can expect six days of surprise gifts in December, but the company has already revealed what the first package will include: “On Day 1, all Cards Against Humanity Saves America recipients will get an illustrated map of the land, a certificate of our promise to fight the wall, some new cards, and a few other surprises."

While this stunt is certainly notable, CNN points out that Cards Against Humanity is known for its outlandish pranks during the holidays, such as selling $50,000 worth of nothing on Black Friday back in 2015 and raising $100,000 to dig a “Holiday Hole” to nowhere last year.

They clearly had to top themselves this year, and blocking Trump’s border wall fits the mold. If nothing else comes from this effort, it certainly gave the internet a good laugh.
