Canadian Astronaut Commander Chris Hadfield has shared various videos and photos from space with the world over the past five months that has made him one of the most popular astronauts ever.

Now that he is returning back to earth as he’s done with his mission in space, Hadfield has said goodbye in his own style. He has bid farewell to his amazing out of the world journey through a rendition of David Bowie's "Space Oddity".

In the video, Hadfield sings Bowie’s classic while floating along with an acoustic guitar.

The video has gone totally viral and it got so popular over the weekend that Bowie himself also tweeted his songs cover from space to his followers.

In a heartfelt tweet Hadfield said:

Hadfield has been on the International Space Station since December 2012. He is due to return to Earth on Tuesday.
