If you’ve been feeling like giving up on mankind lately, there’s hope yet. One student, who was bullied at school for the shoes he wore, was so touched by the gift he received from a classmate, he was at a loss for words, WBTV reports.
This student was getting picked on and joked about his shoes everyday so another student looked out for him. Dope pic.twitter.com/dO5NkGAkOU— Viral (@ViraI) November 4, 2016
“I heard they were bullying you and picking on you,” Greenwood High School senior Tae Moore said. “I bought you some Js.”
“For real?” bullied student Taylor Bates asked, completely incredulous. “I don’t know what to say.” What IS there to say besides "thank you"?
Bates then asked Moore if he should pay him.
“No, I bought them for you,” Moore said, giving him a handshake.
“I could cry right now,” the student filming said. “That is so sweet.” We’re right there with her.
Bates then tried on the shoes. “I can’t believe you,” he said, at a loss for words again. The shoes look to be a perfect fit, and the kid is styling.
At the end of the clip, Bates goes in for a well-deserved hug with Moore. “I really appreciate it,” he said of his spiffy shoes.
Men’s Air Jordans, considered a higher-end shoe, usually retail for more than $100. Moore is likely only 17 or 18 years old, which makes the act of generosity all the more impressive. Our future is looking bright, after all.
