A close encounter of two friends Nathan Podmore and Dave Richards with Great White Shark became a viral hit on the internet after it was viewed more than 700,000 times in just a week. Both friends went spear fishing off the coast of Australia and took a camera along with them to record the fun.

But fun quickly turned serious when a great white shark started circling the two, separating them from their boat.

Both of them were only equipped with a spear and knife each, but they were still able to give the shark a good warning poke that sent the beast off. It was only afterwards that they realized how close they came to death.
