CNN Panelist Gives Epic Eye Roll Listening To Pro-Trump Rant

Angela Rye couldn’t control her eyeballs while listening to a colleague try to promote all the “great things” GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump has done.

Political commentator and analyst Angela Rye completely stole the show during a CNN panel discussion this week when her epic eye roll caught viewers’ attention.

While listening to her pro-Donald Trump colleague Kayleigh McEnany rave about the “great” things Trump has done, Rye’s uninterested facial expression said it all — but she kicked things up a notch by rolling her eyes so dramatically that her gesture completely overshadowed whatever hot air McEnany was blowing about Trump.

The exact words that sparked such a strong reaction from Rye were, “You know, Donald Trump has done great things in his private time, too, for veterans, all across his foundation. He’s done great things, too.”

Viewers were fascinated by Rye's blatant exasperation and took to Twitter to applaud her candid reaction.

Rye addressed the inability to control her facial expressions in an interview with New York Magazine, “I don’t have the poker face to pretend,” she admitted.

However, she did note that she tries to be more self-aware while on-air so as not to come off to viewers as the “angry black woman” and uphold that detrimental stereotype.

Despite the fact that Rye and McEnany clearly have opposing political views, they are actually friends, and there was no animosity between them as a result of the eye roll that rocked the internet.

“I think she knows that normally I don’t agree with her,” Rye reportedly said. “Kayleigh is someone I consider a friend, we get along very well off-air.”
