Adorable Boy Steal’s Pope’s Thunder At Vatican Celebration (PHOTOS)

Did you know that we have been living in the ‘year of faith?’

Did you know that we have been living in the ‘year of faith?’

Probably not.

For faithful followers across Christendom, this time is seen as an opportunity ‘ to turn back to Jesus and enter into a deeper relationship with him.’

This boy (below), attending a ‘Year of Faith’ celebration at the Vatican on Saturday, had the right idea.

Except he seemed to want a deeper relationship with God’s representative on Earth instead -  Pope Francis.

One of the Pope’s biggest, yet smallest fans, the boy in yellow was part of a group of children who were invitedto sit by the pope while he was addressing a massive crowd of spectators as well as pilgrims gathered at St. Perters Square on October 26 2013.

His curiosity got the better of him so he wandered on stage to take a closer look, after which he decided to stay.

The boy didn’t seem too crazy about others stealing his thunder (below).

But then he changed his mind and encouraged other children to shake hands with the pope (below).

Pope Francis did not seem too bothered by his stage companion. Although there could have been mild irritation behind that awkward smile but it’s doubtful (below). Pope Francis’ image since he took over the papacy has been less austere than one would expect from the head of the Vatican.
