Scotty Denton took his three children to visit a playground in Warwick, Rhode Island, on June 23 and was too terrified to get out of the car because of a "playground ghost."

In the clip, which has now been viewed a staggering 4.5million times on Facebook, a blue swing can be seen moving in the air erratically.

The swing rocks rapidly from side to side despite nobody being in the park and extremely mild weather.

"All right, we're at the playground, and the kids don't wanna go anymore because look at this sh*t," Denton says in his once-live Facebook post.

"This is real, look at this. There's nobody on it, there's no wind."

And if you look at the other swings on the set, he appears to be telling the truth.

"There's no wind ... look at the other swings, then look at this," he reiterated, saying that the swing had been "swinging like crazy" for "like two minutes."

"I'm not playing, look at this. This is a dead serious video, I'm not playing around," he continued.

Denton's son suggests, "Maybe somebody pushed it?" as another child exclaims, "Ghosts aren't real!"

But Denton continues: "Look at the other swings, they ain't even moving — crazy!"

He ends the footage laughing to his children: "You can't go on that  really sorry!"

Ghost or dad's way of getting off the playground quickly? You be the judge.
