OMG, my heart is exploding right now. Dad of the year just passed out candy to everyone on the flight so his 3 year old could trick or treat pic.twitter.com/vfsAcYNrhr— Stephanie Kahan (@stephaniekahan) November 1, 2016
On Halloween night, a toddler was stuck on an airplane with her dad instead of trick-or-treating with neighborhood friends. However, her thoughtful father made sure that the flight was filled with Halloween spirit.
Upon boarding a Virgin America flight from Boston to San Francisco, a father approached several passengers and handed them little treats with a note attached that read:
“My three-year-old daughter, Molly, was bummed that she wouldn’t be able to go trick-or-treating this year due to this flight... so I decided to bring trick-or-treating to her. If you are willing, when my little donut comes down the aisle, please drop this in her basket. You’ll be making her Halloween! If you’re unwilling, no worries just pass the treat back to me. Thanks so much!”
One passenger named Stephanie Kahan tweeted about the dad’s sweet plan. Little Molly — who was dressed as a donut — walked down the plane’s aisle and said, “Trick-or-treat” as she approached each passenger to collect her candy.
"Everyone seemed to be really touched and excited to participate," Kahan recounted. "It was a real heartwarming moment."
The father asked to remain anonymous, but Kahan shared some photos from the night that quickly went viral, with many people crowning Molly’s dad as “father of the year.”
@stephaniekahan I dutifully hand my (imagined) dad of the year award to this gent. Well done.— Andy Hakes (@ea_andrewh) November 1, 2016

Molly was certainly one lucky donut.
