Cheetos, the beloved afterschool snack that leaves its mark with orange-dusted fingers, is getting a gourmet — but temporary — upgrade, according to CNN.
Celebrity chef and cookbook author Anne Burrell is teaming up with PepsiCo's Cheetos to open up a Cheetos-themed pop-up restaurant called The Spotted Cheetah during August 15 and 17.
The website for the restaurant promises a "dangerously cheesy" experience.
In a press release, Burrell called the crunchy snack an "iconic American staple." She added, "I had so much fun curating this specially crafted, one-of-a-kind menu for the first Cheetos restaurant — I can't wait to see guests' reactions!"
Diners will get a chance to feast on dishes such as Flamin Hot and White Cheddar Mac n' Cheetos or Cheetos Grilled Cheese + Tomato Soup.
While the world hasn't been graced with a restaurant consisting of just Cheetos, it has seen fast food collaborations with the orange snack. Last year, Taco Bell rolled out the Cheetos Quesadilla for all your late night munching fantasies, First We Feast reported.
All we can say is, there's no time like the present.
