Dad’s Surprise For His Tomboy Daughter’s Wedding Is Just Awesome

It started off as a traditional dance and evolved into something much more beautiful.

Jim Mickunas wouldn’t describe his daughter Kandice as traditional.

So when it came to her wedding day, he decided to do something a little different – and far more memorable – than a traditional father/daughter dance.

My daughter has always found her own path. She played flag football at 6. She hated wearing dresses. She wore a tuxedo to her first communion,” he explained. “She lettered in soccer and track. She then became an engineer for the largest automaker in the world when she was 22. I could not imagine having a traditional father daughter dance with her. That is not what we were or are...So I came up with this. She had no idea!”

The video posted above shows the father daughter duo dancing to Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World” on Kandice’s wedding day. However, someone soon hands them baseball gloves and the pair breaks into a game of catch to the tune of John Fogerty’s “Centerfield.”

As adorable as it was, the dad had another surprise in store when he called up the groom and handed him the mitts.
