Okay, more like $9000-ish dollars, but that’s not the point. The point is that young Lemuel Turner had one single shot-in-the-dark, and very little chance to make it. But skill, hope, and maybe a little bit of sheer dumb luck got him that winning shot.
Is this why the word "baller" came into being? We think so.
College isn't cheap, guys. This is a vicarious win for anyone who's been, going, or smack-dab-in-the-middle of it. We know what that financial struggle's like.
