In celebration of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) getting struck down and Prop 8 not being reinstated, Google created a simple Easter egg. Here is what happens if you google the word "gay":

It's a nice gesture to acknowledge a major victory for the biggest civil rights fight today. While some could object to Google taking a side in a legal battle, simple equality for all is becoming less and less of a "side," in the way that racial equality is no longer about which side you are on. Equality is simple and obvious, and in this case, rainbow-colored.

Go ahead and do it yourself. It's one more sparkly feelgood moment on the day that DOMA died, and the world become a little happier and more just.
