Green Heron Uses Bread As Fishing Bait (Video)

Now this is what you call an intelligent bird. A Green Heron makes use of tools similar to man to access food to show its ability to bait and catch fish.

Carrying a piece of bread to the water’s edge, the tiny heron is captured on camera repeatedly dropping the bait on the surface, carefully, to attract surrounding fish towards it.

Hard work and repeated efforts finally pay for the bird as it returns with a large fish between its beak. It is worth mentioning here that it is a skill that is performed by few species of birds and Green Herons are among the intelligent ones.
