1,200 People On Mattresses Fall On Each Other For Silly World Record

Of all the bizarre things people do to hit a world record, this one looks like one of the most fun.

A new world record has been set for the largest human mattress dominoes, with 1,200 people (read: adults) taking part.

Aaron’s Inc., an appliance and electronics company, has set a new world record for the largest human mattress dominoes with 1,200 participants, making a soft landing during a successful attempt in Price George's County, Maryland.

They lined up the participants and their mattresses in their bid to make history — and pulled it off in one attempt in a mere 13 minutes and 38 seconds.

Aaron's CEO John Robinson pushed over the first mattress.

The record was first set by 80 people at the Channel Nine studios in Sydney, Australia, in 2009 and broken in 2012 by 1,150 people at a warehouse in Germany.

All the mattresses used will be donated to charitable groups.
