When it comes to romance, there are few places that can beat Venice, and this video proves it.

A love struck cruise ship entertainer proposed his long-time girlfriend in the middle of St. Mark’s Square of Venice. However, the proposal was not a conventional one. 36-year-old Danny Burns led a group of fellow singers and dancers from the Cunard Queen Victoria in the world famous square as his girlfriend Shonagh Daly, 31, watched in complete amazement.

The group chose Hall and Oates song ‘You Make My Dreams Come True’ for dancing before Danny went down on one knee and presented her with an engagement ring in front of thousands of tourists.

Burns, a professional actor who currently works as an entertainer on cruise ships, hit on his idea after the liner in which he works with Shonagh was scheduled to sail for Venice in September.

The video features 12 professional dancers and has already attracted more than 10,000 views on YouTube.
