Twin brothers from Russia shared a video of them learning the hard way that the popular Face Swap app is not actually meant to switch identical faces.

The terrifying yet comical art of “face swapping” has taken social media by storm since being introduced as a filter on Snapchat.

There are so many face swapping apps available now that it’s hard to avoid seeing at least a few of the video clips on your newsfeeds.

Many people have even created short skits using their swapped identities to create new characters and mock celebrities by swapping faces with photographs and posters.

Some of the most hilarious clips involve parents swapping faces with their babies and narrating what they would say if they could talk.

One video highlights a small “glitch” in one of the apps: apparently, it wasn’t able to recognize and swap the faces of identical twins!

The viral clip shows twin brothers placing their faces in front of the camera and hysterically laughing when there appears to be no change whatsoever.

One of the twins steps in and out of the frame multiple times to try to get the app to calibrate their faces and recognize that they are two different people, but it didn’t seem to work.

Perhaps it isn’t a glitch at all; maybe the app creators didn’t account for identical twins because they never thought that two people with the same face would feel the need to switch.
