We may have seen lots of good, bad and creative resumes both in real life as well as on the internet but Philippe Dubost’s innovative online resume truly stand out from the rest!
Dubost, a web product manager, designed an Amazon product pagewith himself as the product and also put up a picture on the page, inviting possible buyers or Customers (companies) to check out his credentials. You can check out his dimensions (he's 186cm) and add him to your cart (which brings up a contact form). Dubpost also offered the option to select a language (He's trilingual).
His product description reads:
“For the past 6 years I've put my energy towards growing and enhancing meaningful web products and services.
I then went one step further when I created my own web company 2 years ago. What motivated me was the perspective of applying the different sets of professional & technical skills I had learnt so far to build a meaningful web product. APPARTINFO.com is the first local reviews guide on apartments and neighborhoods in France, and it has been a very rewarding adventure so far.
I enjoy traveling and working in multicultural environments, as I have in the past in the US, Mexico and France.”
You can also read his customer reviews, since it is a functioning Amazon page, some have also left some 1-star reviews, about which he tweeted:
@davidpwoods lots of ex-girlfriends.— Philippe Dubost (@pdubost) January 24, 2013
The page has gone viral, pushing the limits of Dubost's server capacity. So, due to the influx of traffic Dubost also had to change his server host.
The amazingly creative web product manager is now getting lots and lots of job offers. Dubost writes on his Twitter pageabout his work related opportunities after putting up his resume online:
@lumuellerkaul haven't figured the exact number yet, but I'd say about 20-40 work-related messages between emails & linkedin. Blessed!— Philippe Dubost (@pdubost) January 25, 2013
Guys, guys, I don't know what to say, I am just stunned and truly touched by all the kind messages you send. HUGE THANK YOU (et Merci ;-)— Philippe Dubost (@pdubost) January 27, 2013
