In this short one minute video, 44-year-old gorilla Koko has a message for all humans in the coming year.

After hearing of what was at stake during the world's climate-related summit, Koko gives a powerful response about man, the earth, and what she hopes to see.

"I am gorilla, I am flowers, animals. I am Nature. Koko love man. Earth Koko love," she says using sign language. "But man stupid… stupid! Koko sorry, Koko cry. Time hurry. Fix Earth! Help Earth! Hurry! Protect Earth. Nature watches you. Thank you."

According to Metro, Koko did not actually write the script herself, but rather the message "was designed and scripted by NOE Conservation, based in France, and The Gorilla Foundation in Woodside, California, where Koko has lived since 1979."

Still, it doesn't change the power of the message as it is delivered by Koko. Had it been said by another human, it simply wouldn't have the same potency.
