Currently singing, “Lonely…I’m Mr. Lonely” is Robbie Chernow who flew from New York City to Chicago for a friend’s bachelor party, only to end up exploring the windy city alone.
According to Chernow’s Instagram, all of his friends’ flights were cancelled and he was the only one to successfully make it to the destination.
Chernow, being the proud lone ranger he is, didn’t pack up and head back to NYC. Instead, he stayed and chronicled his solo adventures on Instagram using the hashtag #ChicagoForOne.
"The plan was always for me to arrive a few hours early," Chernow said in an interview with Mashable. But once I landed I was notified that Delta canceled the flight that everyone else was supposed to be on and couldn't rebook them in a timely fashion."
This is Audrey and Nicolette. Even though I didn't sign up for the Master Card they were promoting, they still gave me a Bears schedule magnet because they felt bad and as Nicolette said "this will look good on your mini fridge. (Beat). You seem like someone with a mini fridge". Thanks, Audrey & Nicolette! #chicagoforone
Chernow plans to wait for his friends to arrive, but in the meantime he’s enjoying all of his friend’s bachelor festivities without them.
Being the kind souls they are, the friends set up a GoFundMe account to raise some extra spending money for Chernow so he can hold up until they arrive.
People must be feeling pretty bad for the poor guy...because the account has raised more than its goal amount.
