According to an eyewitness, a 35-year old man in the Estonian capital of Tallinn tried to escape his own room using a rope made out of bed sheets and is lucky to be alive after falling down seven floors of an apartment building on a pile of snow.

Yekaterina Horoshko is the eyewitness who caught the entire incident on camera. She told the local press that she spotted a man trying to climb out of his 8th floor window in an apartment using a rope made out of knotted bed sheets.

Horoshko told the local newspaper that the (fortunately) unfortunate man succeeded in climbing down one story but the makeshift rope couldn’t withstand his weight and the man came down falling, thankfully, onto a large pile of snow that saved his life.

The poor man reportedly was under house arrest by his possessive wife who didn’t want him to get out of the house and meet his friends! His present condition is unknown but here’s wishing him health and possible relief from wife’s suffocating and fatal love.
