Man Thought He’d Have No Trouble With A Gun iPhone Case At An Airport

A man somehow thought it was a good idea to put an iPhone with a gun case in his back pocket when traveling from an airport near London.

One man has definitely not been paying attention to all of the heightened concern about gun safety and airport security.

Essex Police tweeted out on Wednesday that they saw a man with a very unusual phone case in his back pocket at Stansted Airport near London.

Airport officials could see what appeared to be the edge of a gun poking out of his back pocket—they shared a photo of it on Twitter, commenting, “Bringing this to an airport makes it much less likely you’ll catch your plane.”

They noted that in such circumstances, “You have a split second decision to make ...” calling their occupation a “job like no other.”

It’s inconceivable that anyone would think bringing something resembling a gun to an airport is a good idea, but this man clearly had no qualms with his questionable phone case.

Not only is it foolish, but it’s also dangerous—if police were hasty, they could have fired at the man, causing chaos at the airport.

Fortunately, this incident only resulted in an amusing tweet.
