These days, no one can do an Ice Bucket Challenge video without tweaking it to fit their cause.
It's Matt Damon doing that last one and he actually has solid reasons for turning to the commode. Damon accepted the challenge from Ben Affleck and Jimmy Kimmel, but couldn't bring himself to do the ice water version.
"It posed kind of a problem for me, not only because there's a drought here in southern California, but because I co-founded water.org and we envision a day when everyone has access to a clean drink of water," Damon said.
"There are about 800 million people in the world who don't. So dumping a clean bucket of water on my head seemed kind of crazy."
Damon went for the next logical (?) thing: toilet bowl water. Even that had a specific purpose, he explains in the video.
Three cheers to Damon for standing up for what he believes in and icing down that toilet water before the big dump.
But come on, man, you're a filmmaker. Turn your phone horizontally next time so we can get the full effect.
