Selfies Of A Drug Lord

Selfies on Facebook are nothing new and even the least self-obsessed of us ends up posting one online.

But this is different. Yashiro Banderas Banderas loves taking selfies and proudly sharing his daily activities online. There’s a twist though; Yashiro is a part of a Mexican Drug cartel.

Apart from violence, their illegal activities and living life in the fast and the furious lane, these drug dealers also seem to enjoy the limelight. What better to show off than through the social media?

Most prominent among them is a guy named “Broly,” part of the Knights Templar cartel. One thing is for sure,he can give the hottest of divas a run for their money when it comes to a pouty duck face.

Amazingly, none of them fear getting caught or the tracking of their activities.

They show off rather proudly. May be its because they have nothing to fear.

According to Wikipedia, ‘the Mexican Drug War is an ongoing armed conflict among rival drug cartels fighting each other for regional control and against the Mexican government forces and civilian vigilante groups.’

Cartels have become quite powerful in the last few years, anddominate the wholesale illicit drug market in the country. They are even beyond the control of police and other security agencies. After   getting fed up of the power of these criminals and the widespread destruction caused by them, people took things in to their own hands. They formed vigilante groups and have made a tremendous difference in just a few months.

The self-defense groups started small but gained several thousand members soon enough and things have improved in some parts.

But as is apparent from the online activity, they haven’t improved enough to stop the hooligans from showing off.
