There are people who are confused and then there are people who are super confused, Miss Utah at Miss USA Pageant was probably one of the later ones.
Marissa Powell, was asked about the income disparity between men and women in the country at the beauty pageant and her reply was one of the most ridiculous thing ever said in a public forum.
Here’s her totally insightful answer!
I think we can relate this back to education and how we are continuing to try to strive to (pause) figure out how to create jobs right now. That is the biggest problem and I think, especially the men, are um, seen as the leaders of this and so we need to try and figure out how to create education better so we can solve this problem.
This was probably one of the most insanely idiotic things you might have heard in Miss USA history.
Here’s what people are talking about the funny video which has become an online hit, gaining lots and lots of hits.
It was like her brain was throwing darts at a board covered in sound bites.
I dunno man, I'd rather have someone repeat "uh" and "such as" while trying to fit the sentence together in their head than sound like a spam email.
Sounds like me in school.
Let's be fair, it was a dumb question by Nene as well. What is Miss Utah going to do about it? She's not a politician, and she doesn't work miracles. If anything has annoyed me the most about these Miss America/Universe pageants, it's the parts about social issues. Just leave them out and recognize this contest for what it is. Eliminate the annoying talent show parts and stupid social issue questions and replace them with something else that isn't grating to viewers because it's baloney.
I literally could see the brain cells misfiring in her head.....
Clearly "education" needs to pick it up a bit...teach this lady how to complete sentences.
That was painful
Sounds like she had a pre-canned answer to this very question and her brain just shorted out trying to remember it.
Watch her garbled answer in the video above.
