Even if you’ve never taken an airplane I’m sure you’ve heard about the boring beginning of every flight when the attendants give the rundown about safety and emergency procedures.
There’s usually a corny video or a flight attendant standing at the front of the plane demonstrating all of the points that an audio recording is explaining and, for the most part, no one is truly paying attention.
But the clever attendant on this WestJet flight made sure all eyes were on him by adding some comedy to his spiel.
“We had the best in flight crew on West Jet. Laughed so hard,” wrote a staff member from TM’z Veterinary Clinic – a Saskatchewan-based establishment – who was on the flight returning home from a conference.
The 2 ½ minute clip has received more than 4.5 million views since it was first posted earlier this month.
I think they need to include this clip in whatever training materials new flight attendants receive. Aside from being absolutely hilarious, it's a great way to keep people focused on important, but dull information as well as make people feel comfortable who may have anxiety or fear of planes.
Flying home from the fabulous TPLO conference.... We had the best in flight crew on West Jet. Laughed so hard. Only had a chance to video the French portion of the pre flight instructions ! Enjoy, we certainly did !Posted by TM'z Veterinary Clinic on Saturday, August 1, 2015
