One Photographer's Brilliant Scheme To Save Countless Rescue Pets

Animal shelters are learning how to inspire people to save rescued pets: stop making the animals looks scary and sad.

Liz Baker, the executive director of charity-supporting financial organization, got tired of seeing the same terrible, depressing photos of rescued animals posted to adoption websites. The hastily shot images do little to encourage someone to take in that pet, so she joined forces with photographer Seth Casteel and started On Picture Saves a Life, an initiative designed to provide shelters with the proper resources and training to photograph the animals in all their adorable glory.
