A fire that occurred in Tulsa, Oklahoma may have left 100 residents without power or heat, but that won’t stop this woman from seeing the humor in it all!

A fire that occurred in Tulsa, Oklahoma may have left 100 residents without power or heat, but that won’t dampen any of their spirits!

After news of the fire reached a local news station, reporters looked to the residents to recount the tale of the fire. Thankfully, and to the surprise of many, all the residents seemed fairly cheerful despite the loss of power and heat—and for some, the loss of a home.

During their interviews with various residents, News on 6 stumbled upon one woman who used flawless humor and optimism to overcome the tragedy.

"Aw, man, the building is on fire,” Michelle Dobyne, one of the residents affected by the fire, told News on 6. “I said ‘no, what?’ I got my three kids and we bounced out. Nuh-uh, we ain't gon be in no fire. Not today."

News on 6 said that her response left everyone in the newsroom laughing.

The news station goes on to report that the Red Cross has opened a shelter for the residents that were affected by the fire at the Southern Hills Baptist Church.
