The best thing about this PBS meets Avengers spoof is that it's funny, and brings together some of the most beloved figures of the last generation: Bob Ross (the "happy trees" painter), Carl Sagan (his incredible show Cosmos is on Netflix streaming), Fred Rogers (watch the documentary on him, he's legitimately the nicest guy ever) and Bill Nye the Science Guy. The worst thing about this short spoof is how inspiring it is. Like, really, we should be able to just laugh at a movie about PBS reuniting to stop the evil of brain-numbing corporate television that exists just so you'll stick around to watch the ads. As Das Racist once said, television is ads for ads.
So it's frighteningly heartening to see this super group form to take back our brains to the land of imagination, happy trees and science. And seriously, type in the words "netflix.com" into the url bar, then--and remember this part, because once you hit enter, this post will be gone--write "Cosmos" in the Netflix search bar, and spend hours learning from the Kermit the Frog-esque Carl Sagan.
