Just two weeks before delivering the baby, you’d usually see mothers resting but Lea-Ann Ellison is not like every other expectant mother. Instead of resting, Ellison is following a strict fitness regime and is lifting weights.
“8 months pregnant with baby number 3 and CrossFit has been my sanity. I have been CrossFitting for 2 1/2 years and … strongly believe that pregnancy is not an illness, but a time to relish in your body’s capabilities to kick ass.”
This eventually prompted a series of comments, generating extremely harsh reaction from some. Many questioned whether lifting weights is safe for someone so close to giving birthand many others were against her for lifting heavy weights during her pregnancy and called it ‘sickening’.
An overwhelming majority also supported her.
And despite of all the criticism, here’s what Ellison replied to everyone.
