A man got his fifth DUI, and his friends decided to pray a prank on him to try to prevent his sixth and your first. While he was passed out drunk, the man’s friends, who apparently have pulled YouTube pranks before, decided to try and scare him straight by convincing him that he had been in a coma for ten years.

They set up an abandoned office as a hospital room and wait for the man to wake up. While he’s still emerging, a doctor informs him that he was in a car accident and that he has been in a coma for ten years. The man is confused, simultaneously trying to recover his consciousness and figure out what is going on. Before he can ask any questions, the doctor puts on the television and leaves.

The next part is the best: we get a fake news broadcast from the year 2023. I won’t spoil it for you, but someone not in a post-drunken haze probably would have realized at that point that this was all a hoax.

Or are we being tricked? Maybe, but regardless, this is hilarious, and the message is a good one. If you are driving, don’t drink. If you are drinking don’t drive. If you do you’ll be lucky if the worst that happens is that your friends make a fake hospital and news broadcast to mess with you.
