The transformation’s incredible. Check out Obama aging through six years in the clip.

A new video prepared by Youtuber Diran Lyons shows how much President Barack Obama has aged since he was sworn into office in 2008. He was 47 years old then.

Almost two presidential terms later, a 53-year-old Obama looks way older than he should – or how 50-somethings are supposed to look.

It has long been argued whether time spent in the office has any significant effect on the life expectancy of Presidents.

Dr. Michael Roizen, of RealAge.com fame, said in 2011 that presidents age twice as fast as normal when they’re in office.

"The main cause is what we call unrequited stress -- they don't have enough friends to mitigate the stress," he said.

However, just because President’s age more quickly doesn’t mean they die sooner than other American men of their time.

In an article for the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) S. Jay Olshansky, a professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago and a longevity expert, found that most of American Presidents lived long lives and beat the longevity expectations for their time.
