"I’m gonna love you through it," famous PS22 promises their cancer-stricken teacher Adriana Lopez.

Students from the PS22 chorus in Staten Island, New York, left their teacher – and probably everyone watching – in tears after performing a heart-warming cancer survivor anthem "I’m Gonna Love You Through It."

Recently diagnosed with breast cancer, Adriana Lopez broke into tears as her students performed the anthem for her, and said, “I want to thank you for this special moment. It’s not easy, but I will get through it because I have wonderful friends at this school.”

“When you feel lost and scared to death, like you can’t take one more step, just take my hand, together we can do it – I’m gonna love you through it,” the fifth-graders sang while waving pink roses for Lopez.

The chorus group is popular for performing well-known songs and has a YouTube Channel that is approaching nearly 70 million views.

PS22's chorus has performed alongside Katy Perry and Carrie Underwood, among others, appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show and sang at the Oscars.
