This is literally a sweet way to quit.
People start looking for several ways, when it comes to quitting their job. Everyone wants to end on a good note. At times they succeed, at times they don’t.
Chris Holmes doesn’t belong to the latter.
Holmes not only succeeded in quitting on a good note but also went viral over the internet because of his creative yet sweet idea which was revealed to the entire world by Stuart Jackson’s tweet:
So, my brother-in-law has resigned from his 9-to-5 job in spectacular fashion. Jerry Maguire meets Masterchef. twitter.com/ee_stu/status/…— stuart jackson (@ee_stu) April 16, 2013
Now you know why his way of quitting was sweet? Holmes made a home-made cake and wrote an entire letter on it, which reads:
To The Management, Border Force, Stansed:
Today is my 31st birthday and having recently become a father I now realize how precious life is and how important it is to spend time doing something that makes me, and other people, happy.
For that reasons, I hearby give notice of my resignation, in order that I may devote my time and energy to my family, and to my cake business, which has grown steadily over the past few years.
I wish the organisation and my colleagues the best for the future and I remind you that, if you enjoy this cake, you can order more at www.mrcake.co.uk.
Chris Holmes (Mr. Cake)
Mr. Cake, as referred in his edible letter is obviously going to be a great father if he bakes so well.
Best of luck with your cake business Holmes!
