“Ruthless” 3-Year-Old Biker Gets A Parking Ticket

You think you're edgy? Well, Declan Tramley rides a mad cool bike and got his first parking ticket when he was three years old! But you? You don't know "edgy."

The first thing you need to know about the notorious Declan Tramley is that he likes to walk on the wild side. This most “ruthless” biker was caught parked in a no-parking zone at the ferry terminal in Halifax, Canada, his red plastic motorbike no doubt still smoking from all the rubber it had just burned.

But just because Declan is three years old doesn’t mean he’s getting off the hook. No, the hand of justice doesn’t balk in the face of the baby-cheeked and precious.

The adorable ploy was concocted by Declan’s father, who approached Constable Shawn Currie, telling him that his son loves the police, and would be extremely excited to be “apprehended” by one. So Currie gave the road-rager an illegal parking ticket, and a very stern warning.

Declan responded by slapping his forehead in a gesture of grown-up resignation. Ugh, it’s going to be one of those days again. It’s me against the Man!

The Halifax Regional Police Department shared an image of the young boy getting his just desserts on Twitter, with the caption “This ruthless biker was caught today!” The picture has over 23,000 likes and 6,000 shares on the PD’s Facebook page alone.

Remember, you cannot park your motorcycle in the circle by the ferry terminal, we caught this ruthless biker there yesterday.

Currie thinks it’s nice to show this warm, jovial side of the police.

“We’re not always making arrests and hauling people away. We like to have fun.”

And it certainly seems that the public is responding to that. It’s comforting, especially in the midst of the police brutality epidemic that’s seized the US, to remember that there are still cops like these out there.

As for the little rule-breaker, he’s adjusting well to his sentence. His mother, Lisa Tramley, says that:

“He loves his ticket. He tried to go to bed with [it].”

Who needs teddy bears when you’ve got a ticket?
