Saudi Singer's Covers Of Pop Favorities Will Blow You Away

Alaa Wardi, who was born in Iran and now lives in Saudi Arabia, has developed a huge following in the Middle East with his unique covers of Top 40 favorites.


Part singer, part human beatbox Alaa Wardi has become an online sensation in his native Saudi Arabia and throughout the Middle East with his sometimes whimsical, sometimes moving covers of Top 40 hits including Rihanna’s Stay and Pharell Wiliams' Happy. While much of his earlier work has been solo and a capella, the Iranian-born Wardi also performs with backup singers and instruments too, as seen in the sample of his work below.
