A redditor, David Wong, was playing violin outside of a show one night, by himself, for his own amusement, and some spare change. He got a lot more: a crowd gathered round, and people started freestyling over his violin playing! The violin played along, altering his music into something that had a more obvious beat.

The first guy who stepped up gets points for trying, but he never really gets a flow going. The next guy, however, unleashes a Spanish rap that kills (in a good way) even if you can't understand it, which I couldn't. The violinist flips into a fiddle-esque riff as the freestyle gets more intense. It's fantastic, even if you don't speak Spanish. Some YouTube commenters can, however, and they chimed in:

I am spanish. Everything he said makes? sense. My mind is blown.

1:14 [...] if I die my death won't be in vain I have my victory threw my rap and uncover the massacre that thorws "eehhy!"

1:22 I implement my talent with my instrument and you know this? thing is not an invention.

1:27 I become free everytime I a word that comes from my head.

1:31 Get ready, crazy I conquer

1:34 Rap[p]ing because I heard victory

Because I'm the 4th

1:52 He touches the violin like that, finding the way how I am the best MC

Finding the way to fight, because I take down whoever "ahh"

I think it's possible that people have certain phrases in their head when freestyling, but I really don't know enough about it to make any sort of statement about it. His flow was really? nice though. Easy to play along with.

No matter what percent improvised and what percent rehearsed the rap was, the scene itself was pure spontaneity, and that more than anything makes it beautiful to watch.
