Steve Harvey Makes The Most Epic Mistake At Miss Universe Pageant

Steve Harvey might be great on live television but what he did at the Miss Universe 2015 beauty pageant is just not acceptable!

Miss Philippines Pia Wurtzbach was the winner of Miss Universe 2015, but her crowning ceremony turned out to be extremely awkward, thanks to one and only Steve Harvey.

The beauty pageant host accidentally announced Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez as the winner and even went on to crown her as Miss Universe. As Gutierrez stood on stage wearing her crown and sash, holding on to a bouquet of flowers and proudly waving to the crowd, she was taken by surprise when Harvey suddenly cut into her celebration and said, “There’s…I have to apologize.”

What came next is probably the worst nightmare for Gutierrez, as Harvey said he made a mistake and announced the wrong winner — as it turns out, the real Miss Universe 2015 was Miss Philippines Pia Wurtzbach.

Wurtzbach then walked up to Miss Colombia and, after a few moments of confusion, received the crown and sash from her counterpart.

Harvey looked shaken and apologetic during the most uncomfortable live TV moment since Kanye West decided to start interrupting award shows.

To make things worse, Harvey took to Twitter to apologize for his mistakes, but spelled both the Philippines and Colombia incorrectly.

Although the tweet was deleted just moments after, it still drew a lot of attention.

Here’s how the Internet is reacting to the entire train-wreck of an incident:
