While being interviewed for a BBC documentary in Glasgow, African street performer Melo thwarted the attempts of two men who tried to attack him. As the men uttered racial epithets, Melo shouted “I’m black and I’m proud” while dodging their punches and knocking the guys to the ground. One of the attackers — Francis Muir — was eventually jailed for the attack.
