Northern California's storm system ripped through the region with winds so high that surfers took to Lake Tahoe to grab some tasty waves.
Wearing a much needed wetsuit, surfer Logan Knutzen nabbed one of the bigger waves of the day. The Weather Channel, which called the storm the strongest in Northern California in nearly five years, reported 7-footers. Tubular dude!
Known as a premiere snow skiing and snowboarding destination, the Lake Tahoe area is expected to get a couple of feet of snow in the next few days.
